Pre requisite: There is no pre requisite for this course.
Delivery & Assessment Context: Training and assessment is conducted both in a friendly classroom setting and a real salon environment. Training might include but is not limited to practical workshop, written work, group discussion, debate and practical work on clients. It is the practice on real clients that will make the student’s learning experience unique. This not only gives the necessary confidence in a variety of situations, but also will give the possibility to apply, in a practical way, what has been taught in class.
Assessment within this program might include a range of approaches consisting of project work, demonstration of skills on clients, role play, participation in discussions and debates, written and oral tests, research assignment. |
Work placement:
As a mandatory part of this course, students are required to seek workplace training.
At the end of the course students are invited to seek work placement for two weeks in a salon of their choice. However the partnership between Melbourne Institute of Nails & Beauty and Odyssey Nails Hair & Beauty, Hollywood nails, Diamond Nails and Le Nails will allow the student to undertake work placement in one of our salons.
