Occupation: Facial Therapist

Description: It is suitable for people wishing to take an extra step respect just nails and waxing and be an asset for any business or people that have an interest in skin care and wants to work in a salon as skin care therapist.

Pre requisite: There is no pre requisite for this course.

Duration: 6 Weeks Part time

Facial Program
This course looks at the benefits of having a facial, the contraindications to look for, how to prepare yourself and the client for the beauty treatment, the entire facial treatment routine.

The Skin Structure & Function
How the skin functions, understanding its structure for a facial treatment and skin analysis. Skin reactions to chemicals and medication, over stimulation from external factors

Cleansing Process
Choosing a cleanser understanding cleaners and their benefits, correct application movements, removal of different cleansers.

Skin Analysis
Skin types, skin conditions, skin disorders, how to do a skin analysis.

Facial Steaming, Exfoliation, Extractions
Using a facial steamer for the right skin type, selecting the correct exfoliant application and removal, performing extractions.

Facial Massage, Neck and Declotage'
Muscles and bones of the face, contraindications, massage mediums and massage movements.

Mask Therapy
Benefits of using a mask, the types of masks used in a facial treatment their correct application and removal.

Moisturizing and specialized treatments
Choosing the correct moisturizer and the benefit of using specialized treatments to tackle special problem areas.

After care advices
Recommending products for your clients after their facial, why you should maintain record cards and writing prescription sheets for the client to follow.

Includes use of product, uniform, and text book.
